Starfields, or SF, is the largest student run music festival in the UK, hosting 2,300 guests - one-third of all St Andrews undergraduate students. The event has emerged, through its reputation as one of the most popular events in the St Andrews calendar. This is hardly surprising, as world renowned DJs such as Matoma, Gorgon City, Cheat Codes, Klingande and The Disciples have all flocked to the fife coast in order to play the highly anticipated event.
Year after year, the festival consistently sells out. In 2019, Early Bird release sold out in minutes, and Standard Release sold out before Freshers Week had even begun.
It is with regret but also with the safety of attendees in mind, that FS has decided to postpone its annual Starfields Music Festival from its usual September date due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. Rest assured, the committee is dedicated to throwing Starfields in the 2020-21 academic year and finding a new date. We ask that all attendees band together in this time of uncertainty and bear with us while we work towards a new, safer, date so we can party with you, once again and make up for the lost summer of dancing.
Music is a vital part of our organisation, and Starfields is the crown jewel of St Andrews events for music lovers. We can’t wait to welcome you to our next iteration and hear what you have to say!
From its grounding in House and an electronic sound, Starfields and the fashion show’s sound is an ever developing process. Our mission is simple, to bring the best musical talent to St Andrews in aid of enjoyment and raising funds for our philanthropic aim.
